In, India Chandigarh is the only capital of two states Punjab and Haryana. It is surrounded by Shivalik Hills. It is the only city planned with a single architect. It was built in 1953. It is also a union territory. Chandigarh is famous for its cleanliness, its wide roads and wide residential colonies. Chandigarh is known as the most clean city experiencing the peaceful atmosphere. The city besides its attractions also enjoys many other festivals like mango festival, Chandigarh carnival etc. The only city in India which experiences such festivals which also includes the rose festival in which all categories of beautiful roses are displayed. These festivals attracts lacs of tourists every year experiencing the glorifying and magnificent beauty of the state. This city is highly rich in culture and heritage and believes in moving according to the latest fashion trends.
Location:
Chandigarh is located at 30.75° N 76.78° E in INDIA. It is approximately good north India .It is the capital of 2 India states viz Haryana &Punjab, along with, it is also a Union Territory. It is one of the 3(best) planned cities of India (other 2 being Bangalore & Jaipur).

Tourist Attractions:
Mansa Devi Temple: It is a very huge temple. Thousands of devotees Come at this place to get the Goddess blessings especially during Navratra .It is believed that the head of “DEVI SATI “falls at this place. This Temple has the magnificent garden all around.
Saketri Temple: This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Thousands Of devotees on the day of Shivratri come here to get the blessings of lord Shiva.
Gurudwara Nada Sahib: Guru Govind Singh Ji along with his victorious army lived in this place. Lacs of devotees come here to get the blessings.
Gurudwara Baoli Sahib: It is believed that one of the devotees here requested Guru Govind Singh Ji to supply the water to the thirsty people of this area and then guru Shot an arrow on the ground for the supply of water.
Amb Sahib: It is the historical place which has the blessings of Great Guru Shri Har Rai Sahi’s. There are mango trees in this gurudwara all around.
Jama Masjid: It is worship place of Muslims. Thousands of Muslims gathered here for their special as well as regular prayers.
Museum of Evolution of Life: This museum describes the Indus Valley Civilization taking the tourists completely in that period.
Museum and Art Gallery: This museum consists of the fossils and beautiful miniature paintings.
1. International Dolls Museum: This museum has the collection of mostly
variety of dolls and puppets covering more than 25 countries all over the
world.
2. City Museum: It is dedicated to the history of Chandigarh and depicts the
past and present growth of Chandigarh.
3. National Gallery of Portraits: The portraits of freedom fighters
such as Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru etc. are kept and preserved here.
4. Rose Garden: It is the Asia’s largest rose garden which comprises of
beautiful variety of roses giving a fascinating experience.
5. Rock Garden: It is a popular spot for tourists.
The urban waste material was converted into creative
pattern and textures which create huge crowds.
6. Botanical Garden: It is spread over 88 acres.
Its rockeries, and the rare species covered in
green houses draw huge garden lovers as well as botanists.
7. Pin jore Garden: It is one of the most popular picnic
Spots.
Climate:
Chandigarh enjoys an extreme hot weather from March to
June and chilly winters from November to Feb. Monsoon
Is very pleasant in Chandigarh .The best season to
Visit Chandigarh is between Aug to Nov.
Transport:
The option of flights as well as trains are available for reaching
Chandigarh. The tourists can hire taxis for sightseeing and places they want to visit.
Buses can also serves as good option if one has the capacity of traveling long hours.
